The nitrile imine generated by the action of triethylamine on 2-bromo-1-benzofurylglyoxal-2-[3 phenylpyrazol 5-yl]-hydrazone reacted with some Schiff bases, -nitrostyrenes and thiocarboxamidocinnamonitrile derivatives via dipolar cycloaddition reactions to yield several new polyfunctional pyrazole and 1,2,4-triazole derivatives.
